Als Hafenarbeiter im Hamburger Hafen möchte ich zu dem Artikel „Finales Angebot: Hafenarbeiter sollen mindestens 3708 Euro bekommen“ Stellung nehmen. Es scheint, dass immer wieder die gleiche veraltete Diskussion aufkommt: Verdienen wir als Hafenarbeiter zu viel, weil wir keine Akademiker sind? Lassen Sie uns das einmal klarstellen.
Erstens, der Artikel impliziert, dass unsere Arbeit weniger wert ist, nur weil viele von uns keine akademische Ausbildung haben. Dies ist ein Missverständnis, das leider weit verbreitet ist. Unsere Arbeit erfordert spezialisierte Fähigkeiten, körperliche Anstrengung und oft gefährliche Arbeitsbedingungen. Wir arbeiten rund um die Uhr, bei jedem Wetter, um sicherzustellen, dass die Waren, die die Menschen täglich benötigen, rechtzeitig ankommen. Das erfordert nicht nur körperliche Stärke, sondern auch ein tiefes Verständnis für die Logistik und die Abläufe im Hafen.
Darüber hinaus hat der Autor des Artikels keine Informationen darüber, ob wir Hafenarbeiter tatsächlich keine Akademiker sind. Es ist nicht korrekt, uns pauschal in eine Schublade zu stecken. Einige von uns haben durchaus akademische Abschlüsse und haben sich entschieden, im Hafen zu arbeiten, weil wir die Herausforderungen und die Dynamik dieser Arbeit schätzen.
Das Angebot, das uns gemacht wurde, mag für manche nach viel Geld klingen, aber es berücksichtigt nicht die Bedingungen, unter denen wir arbeiten. Viele von uns arbeiten in Schichten, einschließlich Nachtschichten, Wochenenden und Feiertagen, was erhebliche persönliche Opfer bedeutet. Zudem ist die Inflation ein großer Faktor, der die Lebenshaltungskosten erhöht. Die von uns geforderte Anpassung unserer Löhne ist daher nur fair und notwendig, um unseren Lebensstandard zu halten.
Es ist wichtig, dass unsere Arbeit und unser Beitrag zur Wirtschaft angemessen anerkannt und gewürdigt werden. Wir verdienen einen Lohn, der unserer harten Arbeit und unseren Fähigkeiten entspricht. Es geht nicht darum, ob wir Akademiker sind oder nicht, sondern darum, dass unsere Arbeit wertgeschätzt und gerecht entlohnt wird.
